Hi  John,

I recently wrote telling you about your last opportunity in 2022 to make a donation to politically empower the humanist and atheist community. It seems only appropriate that I now offer you the first opportunity to make a 2023 donation to the Center for Freethought Equality[[link removed]].  The Center for Freethought Equality, the advocacy and political arm of the American Humanist Association, is committed to politically empowering our community.

Help us increase the political engagement of the atheist and humanist community -- both as a voting bloc and as elected officials -- with a generous gift today![[link removed]]

The humanist and atheist community can counter the influence of the white Christian Nationalists who are far too powerful and dangerous -- as demonstrated in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol -- in our political culture. The rapidly growing atheist and humanist community is the constituency that can counter their anti-democratic, bigoted, anti-science, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and homophobic crusade -- but we need your continued support to make that happen.

Help us take on the challenges of the new 118th Congress and beyond by making a generous contribution today![[link removed]]

As the humanist and atheist community becomes more engaged in the political and electoral arenas -- including serving in public office -- our nation’s public policies will reflect the values of our community to prioritize social, economic, and environmental justice using evidence-based policy solutions. Building political power for the humanist and atheist community will establish a more equitable and sustainable future for America.

The Center for Freethought Equality has done groundbreaking work to empower our community -- the announcement by Congressman Jared Huffman (CA-2) that he is a humanist and agnostic, the formation of the Congressional Freethought Caucus, the expansion of the number of atheist and humanist elected officials from 5 to 72 at the state and federal level since 2016, and the creation of the Association of Secular Elected Officials.

With your financial investment we will be able to expand our efforts -- please make a generous donation today! [[link removed]]

Thank you for your support to make America safer, saner, and more secular.

Sincerely,

Ron Millar
Political & PAC Coordinator
