Happy New Year and welcome to 2023! 

For the last 30 years, Families in Transition has been at the center of a movement to bring housing solutions and stability to families and adults facing homelessness to change life trajectories.  

This movement—our mission—has been possible because our dedicated staff and volunteers, committed partners and advocates, and generous donors and funders remain focused on our shared goal of bringing dignity and compassion to those most in need. 

Every day, we work to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness.  Every day up to 138 adults and 18 families are served at our emergency shelters. More than 450 individuals and families are housed in our 18 properties, and food is provided to approximately 900 households every month.  Yet, these numbers don’t adequately capture the challenges, successes, innovations, and opportunities that we face and overcome every day. 

As we enter 2023 - and every day during this year - let’s continue to stand together and support each other in our resolve to prevent and break the cycle of homelessness. 

To do this, we must not waver.  We must remain steadfast in addressing the persistent, traumatic, and often chronic conditions that lead people to experience homelessness. With each new day, we have an opportunity to change a life.  Please, continue to volunteer your time, donate your money, and share your voice.     

Thank you for all you have helped accomplish for our communities. I look forward to staying on course together in the year ahead.
