Happy New Year!
In the event one of your 2023 resolutions is to get more engaged in civic life - well, the timing is perfect!
We’re looking for volunteers to help serve on several City of Portland boards and committees.
The City Clerk’s office is currently accepting applications for several vacancies.
On Wednesday, February 1st the City of Portland's Nominating Committee will meet to interview for our opening board and commission seats via zoom. Applications for open seats are due January 20 - so there's over two weeks to consider options and reach out with any questions you may have.
- Each interview takes just about 5 minutes, and you can be scheduled as early as 4pm and into the late afternoon/evening as determined by the number of people we get to meet with*.
How to apply is available on the City’s website at https://www.portlandmaine.gov/603/Boards-Committees. Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to: Appointments Committee Chairman, c/o City Clerk, 389 Congress Street, Portland ME 04101 or via email to [email protected].
If you have additional questions please contact Portland City Clerk at [email protected].
*Applicants will be contacted for interviews.
Thank you for considering these opportunities - and if the timing's not just right - there will be more chances to raise your hand, and I'll send info as soon as I have it!
