Friends,

Not gonna lie. Yesterday was a rough day for anyone who supports Bernie Sanders and / or Elizabeth Warren, and wants to see progressives unify soon. At tonight's debate, we'll hear from the candidates directly. It'll be a relief.

Let's not lose sight of what's at stake in this election. It's building an economy that works for everyone. Guaranteeing health care for all. Protecting the planet. Safeguarding our democracy and the rule of law. (Not rejected volunteer scripts and 13-month-old conversations.)

I'm running for Congress for the same reason Sanders and Warren are running for president: to put people first, not the special interests. I am a progressive who supports Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and believes that we can be ambitious and get things done. It's not enough to just get Trump out of office and go back to the status quo; we want to make a better America for everyone.
