Dear Friend,
My name is Peggy Rajski (she/her) and I am a founder and current Interim CEO of The Trevor Project. In my lifetime, I have worn many hats—producer and filmmaker, higher education leader, and public speaker, among others—but nothing has brought me as much gratification, pride, and fulfillment as launching The Trevor Project nearly 25 years ago.
Since then, I have witnessed this organization evolve from a small group of passionate advocates around my kitchen table to a fully remote workforce of over 500 talented and dedicated staff members serving LGBTQ young people, 24/7.
As a larger society, we’ve witnessed a contentious election and senseless acts of violence against the LGBTQ community. As an organization, we’re moving through a period of forward-thinking change and transformation. Through all these events, The Trevor Project has provided high-quality, round-the-clock suicide prevention and crisis intervention services unceasingly. Now, more than ever, our life-saving mission couldn’t be more critical nor our commitment any less than when we first started.
On behalf of The Trevor Project community, I thank you for all of the support you give our organization. Together, we are shaping a world where all LGBTQ young people see a bright future for themselves. I look forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary with you this March!
With deep appreciation and gratitude,
Peggy Rajski
(she/her/hers)
