Pollinators are responsible for one in every three bites of food we eat. But widespread use of pesticides are killing bees in droves and wreaking havoc on our food systems. Meanwhile, big pesticide companies are spending millions of dollars to influence legislators to look the other way.

We can not stand by while big industries destroy our pollinators, and the plants we rely on. Tell Congress to fight bee poisoning and climate shocks by supporting organic farming and clean energy.

Pollinators are essential for the very food that keeps us alive and yet they are facing attacks on multiple fronts. Last winter beekeepers experienced their biggest beehive loss on record. To date, half of all farmed honeybee hives have been decimated. Wild pollinators are also under threat and are reported to be down by over 40%! Scientists are calling this an ecological Armageddon.

But pesticide use is not the only reason bee populations are in steep decline. Global temperature rise is adding undue stress to plant life, causing plants to flower out of season and confusing pollinators. These sustained seasonal disruptions are increasing the incidences of bee die-off and, ultimately, may lead to the reproductive failure of many plant species.

What’s more, scientists report that as bees and other pollinators abandon habitats ravaged by fires, excessive heat and drought, they are having trouble moving their ranges to cooler and higher regions - further reducing their habitat and adding to their decline. The link between a warming planet and bee decline couldn’t be more clear! We know that.
