Happy New Year Friend!

To start off each new year, I reflect back on the previous one & how I spent my time and energy. 🧡This annual practice helps guide & reaffirm the commitments I’ll make to myself and my community this year.

✨One of the biggest wins from last year that fills me with hope was when our community member Jorge was released from immigrant detention in Florida & able to reconnect with his loved ones in New York after over a year of detention.

This would not have been possible without the commitment of thousands of people like you across the country who organized & fought for his release. But there’s so much work to be done, and our Deportation Defense team is ready to get to work. What does joining our Deportation Defense team mean? You’ll be invited to Know Your Power workshops, receive new tools & resources to share with your community, and most importantly make a commitment to take action to protect each other from deportation.

We keep each other safe, Friend. Not police, ICE, or CBP. Our immigrant communities have always had each other’s backs and that will never change. 🤝 When we commit to learning more, trusting each other, and showing up when we need it the most, there’s no victory we can’t win!
