Public support for labor unions is growing. In fact, it’s the highest it’s been in nearly a half-century .
That’s because unions are key to a middle-class life and to more power in the workplace.
We’re seeing it at places like Amazon, Starbucks, and The New York Times where workers are organizing to form unions. We’re seeing it in Cleveland where workers, unions, and activists organized and pushed the City Council to pass an ordinance banning the city from doing business with companies that practice wage theft or payroll fraud.
We need that kind of pro-worker policy at the national level. Specifically, we need the PRO Act.
I introduced the PRO Act to protect workers’ rights to join a union and bargain for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. It would give workers a fighting chance by leveling the playing field between corporations and the workers who make their profits possible.
When we all stand with workers, we all win, and today, I need you to stand in solidarity by signing on your support for the PRO Act and workers’ right to join a union. Add your name. [[link removed]]
