I hope you had a happy and healthy New Year! I’m glad to announce that 2023 has started off on a great note for Americans living with diabetes. As of January 1st, insulin costs are capped at $35 for seniors on Medicare. 

I’m proud to have introduced the Affordable Insulin Now Act back in February 2022 as part of my broader leadership on lowering the costs of crucial prescription drugs. The price of insulin has tripled over the past decade, and now seniors who need this medication to survive can access it at an affordable price.

However, I’m not done yet. There’s so much more we can do to help working Americans afford the healthcare they need, and it’s a top priority of mine in 2023. Will you say you’re with me in the fight to lower prescription drug costs?

Nearly 40 million Americans live with diabetes, and a large portion of them have struggled to afford the medication they need to survive. I’m proud to deliver on my promise to take on the pharmaceutical companies and make insulin accessible to senior citizens.

Now that the 118th Congress is convening in Washington, my team is laser-focused on other opportunities to ease the burdens on working folks in our country. We’ve got big plans to tackle major issues such as gun control and reproductive rights, and we’re counting on grassroots support to make them a reality.
