John,
Yesterday the 118th Congress began and the Republican majority already has given us a preview of the chaos and disorganization we can expect over the next two years.
Despite holding the majority in Congress, Republicans failed to select the next Speaker of the House. For the first time in 100 years, Speaker voting went beyond the first floor vote after Kevin McCarthy failed to receive the votes needed three separate times.
Until a speaker is selected, no members can be sworn in and no votes on legislation can occur. Republicans are putting their own infighting and personal politics above what's best for Americans.
While Republicans play political games, Democrats are prepared to get back to work. It's more clear than ever how important it is for Democrats to retake the House majority in 2024.
Will you chip in right away to help Matt lay the foundation needed to protect his seat and retake the House majority in 2024?
