How SAGE is improving the lives of LGBTQ+ elders
The start of a new year often offers the opportunity for a clean slate. But our LGBTQ+ elders – the people who have paved the way for the rights and opportunities we have as LGBTQ+ people – are facing an unprecedented moment of crisis.
Thankfully, our January grantee SAGE — the world’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer and/or questioning (LGBTQ+) older people — has provided programming and direct services to LGBTQ+ elders and their caregivers for nearly 50 years. Funding from CREDO members this month would provide crucial funding to help SAGE continue to innovate as it fights for LGBTQ+ and age-friendly policies and communities and creates ties across generations.
