After witnessing the chaos that ensued today when Republicans failed to vote for a Speaker of the House three separate times, it has never been more clear that they are not fit to run this country.

The American people are waiting for us to secure the right to vote, defend access to abortion, lower childcare and healthcare costs, and protect our climate — yet Republicans can’t even agree on who should lead their party.

Today confirmed what we already knew: the next two years under House GOP leadership will be full of chaos and disarray.

But I am ready to hold the line alongside my progressive colleagues to meet this moment with the urgency it deserves because the American people can’t wait.
