Progress is not possible without our collective efforts

People For the American Way

Happy New Year, People For Supporter!

From everyone at People For, we hope you have had a great start to 2023. We are still celebrating here, and as I begin my first days as People For’s new president, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person who pitched in during our year-end fundraising efforts!

Our goal to fully utilize the $150,000 match was ambitious, and thanks to over 850 members who contributed, we were able to come close to meeting that goal!

If you missed the matching challenge, that doesn’t mean it’s too late to make a gift! People For relies on contributions year-round to help protect democracy and uplift the true American Way.

Now, even as we celebrate, we’re looking ahead to just some of the work that must be done:

  • Ensure those who took part in the violent insurrection on January 6, 2021 are held responsible and accountable for their actions.
  • Continue our efforts to fill all vacancies in our federal judiciary by confirming every one of President Biden’s judicial nominees.
  • Restore trust and truth throughout our education system and prevent attacks on educators.
  • Advocate for long overdue public safety reforms, utilizing our All Safe report as a framework.
  • Monitor and disrupt the plans of the new GOP-controlled House and election deniers across all levels of government to ensure voting and basic human rights are protected.

With you at our side, I know we can make historic progress. Thank you for being part of these efforts!

With tremendous gratitude,

Svante Myrick
President
