John, Happy New Year!

We hope you’ve had the time and space this holiday season to rest and recharge as we transition into the new year.

We accomplished a lot together in 2022 — from passing the largest climate investment bill in history, protecting the Senate and stopping the ‘Red Wave’ to dreaming up what we want this movement to look like and win in the years to come — and we wanted to take this moment to thank you for sticking with us and everything that you’ve done for our movement. Thank you.

Everything from volunteering to phone bank, text bank, or canvass, to sharing our posts on social media, attending our virtual events, and donating makes a difference. And that’s something to be proud of!

Now, the next phase of our movement starts:

In 2023, we’re turning the dial up on our organizing efforts and doubling down on building widespread long-term power and organizing a movement across race and class that can transform society and our government.

Political elites keep showing us how little they care about the consequences of their actions and some politicians, like Joe Manchin, even work hand-in-hand with fossil fuel companies that make the climate emergency even worse because he cares more about lining his own pockets than the lives of his constituents.

We know that we can’t be stagnant waiting for these leaders to come around. It’s time for our voices to be heard in unison demanding a Green New Deal and leaders who prioritize people over profits.

We’re going to keep growing, keep adapting, and keep showing up to fight for our planet and our collective future. If we don’t, we know no one else will.

Thank you for fighting alongside us in 2022. We’re excited for what’s ahead in 2023.
