The combination of births, deaths and net international migration increases the U.S. population by 1 person every 27 seconds.

Call for Presentations: 2023 LED Partnership Virtual Workshop
The LEHD program is welcoming *proposals [ [link removed] ] *to present at the 2023 LED Partnership Virtual Workshop March 28-30.Â
This year’s theme is “LED: Big Data Illuminating Local Outcomes,” and we are interested in presentations from a wide variety of disciplines, including, but not limited to: workforce development, economic development, transportation planning, economic analysis, and emergency management.Â
The deadline to submit proposals is Monday, January 9. Additional information on the agenda and workshop *will be posted [ [link removed] ]* in the coming weeks.Â

Household Pulse Survey Phase 3.7
On Thursday, January 5, the Census Bureau will release new data from phase 3.7 of the experimental Household Pulse Survey. The survey is an effort by the Census Bureau and other federal statistical agencies to provide near real-time data on how the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in social and economic conditions are affecting people’s lives to inform federal and state response and recovery planning.Â
Data collection for phase 3.7 began on December 9, with data dissemination, including detailed data tables and public use data files, on a monthly basis.

Basics of Using the Microdata Access Tool
Our participatory classes walk you through examples of creating tables in the Microdata Access Tool (MDAT) within data.census.gov. Microdata Access on data.census.gov/mdat allows you to create custom tables that are not available in the pre-made tables on data.census.gov without having to use your own statistical software or special programming.
Registration is required to attend these workshops. Attendance is limited to 50 participants per session.
