Dear friend,
I just got done rallying at City Hall with activists, political leaders, and labor groups. We united to tell Jay Jacobs that New York Democrats are sick of losing and he needs to resign.
Let me say that again: Jay Jacobs needs to resign.
This isn’t just about New York. Under Jay Jacobs, our state party’s failures have had nationwide implications — the Democrats’ House majority died in New York.
To make matters worse, these defeats came as Democrats all over the rest of the country defied expectations. There was a historically unprecedented blue wave and it dried up right here.
That’s simply inexcusable in one of the most progressive states in the country.
And when Republicans like George Santos are being sent to Congress, a major failure of leadership has occurred. Our party leadership, who should be focused on beating Republicans in this state, completely missed one of the most egregiously unqualified candidates in modern American history.
That’s why I’m writing to you today. To let you know that I will ALWAYS speak up for what’s right, even if it’s against members of my party. Because we can’t keep losing.
Will you donate $3 right now, or whatever you can afford, in order to make sure I have the resources I need to keep speaking up and fighting for you? Every dollar goes towards keeping a genuine progressive voice in office.
Thank you for your support.
In service,
Jessica Ramos
