CPI Partners
January 2023

John:

I hope your 2023 is off to a great start. While our first instinct is probably to jump right into the New Year (I’m sure you’re following the race for House Speaker closely) I wanted to take a moment to recognize what an important resource you’ve created for conservative fighters here in Washington.

As of today, the 118th Congress is in session. At CPI, it's courage that's in session—always. The round-the-clock work we did in 2022 to support the most courageous conservatives has set us up for many more achievements in 2023. I look forward to sharing them with you.

**Note that there is a time-sensitive item below. I’ll be speaking at a virtual rally for the State Freedom Caucus Network tomorrow at 12:30 EDT. See below for details of how you can join!

Sincerely,
Mark Meadows

Good Riddance to Roe v. Wade

In 2022, we saw the end of Roe v. Wade, one of the most tragic and incompetent Supreme Court decisions in history. We celebrated this enormous step forward in the protection of life from CPI's headquarters with pro-life advocates across the movement.

This victory was years in the making. CPI and members of our team worked with every major pro-life group, opened our doors for the annual March for Life, and supported the pro-life justices who handed down the fateful decision in Dobbs

In 2023, CPI will continue its support of the pro-life movement as the battle moves to the states. The State Freedom Caucus Network, a CPI Partner group, will play a huge role in defending the unborn by stopping the most radical abortion legislation in state legislatures.

On that note, we hope you will join the State Freedom Caucus Network's virtual rally tomorrow, Jan. 4, at 12:30 PM EDT. Former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows will kick off the event with the help of other special guests. Here is the Zoom link for the rally: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87972692280

All 50 state legislatures will be convening in their respective state capitals in 2023 to make massive decisions that will impact your pocketbook, your family, and your liberties. Not only abortion, but also school choice, election integrity, parental rights, fighting ESG mandates and bloated budgets... they are all going to be on the agenda.

Permanent State Infrastructure for Election Integrity

In 2022, the Election Integrity Network, a CPI partner group, held training summits that launched statewide election integrity coalitions in 10 states. As a result, hundreds of thousands of activists empowered by state EIN coalitions went out to the polls to observe, work, document, and report the entire process during the 2022 midterms. Meanwhile, CPI Senior Legal Fellow Cleta Michell’s podcast, “Who’s Counting? With Cleta Mitchell,” recorded from CPI Studios, became a hit—and even a target of YouTube censorship.

In the coming years, the Election Integrity Network will continue to build a permanent election integrity infrastructure in every state, and empower activists to expose and stop the left’s long-term efforts to wear away commonsense election integrity safeguards. After all, Nov. 8 wasn’t the end of their work, but only the beginning.

A Strategic Location for Conservatives in Washington

In 2022, CPI provided a strategic location for conservatives here in D.C. where they could find elite training and staffing support. In addition to CPI’s headquarters, the Conservative Partnership Center, CPI expanded its training and staffing abilities with the addition of a new training center in Maryland.

In 2023, CPI will create an even bigger footprint for conservatives to come together here in D.C. with the creation of CPI's new Patriots' Row, just a stone's throw from the Conservative Partnership Center.

New and More Effective Conservative Groups

Last year, CPI's growing network of partner groups challenged the Biden administration and the Left in courtrooms, boardrooms, and classrooms across the country.

Leftist media outlets like NPR, The New York Times, the Guardian, MSNBC, and Grid.com all took notice of our influence and our ability to work together on important issues. American Accountability Foundation and America First Legal were among the media's top targets.

In 2023, we'll continue to provide CPI Partner groups with meeting and convening opportunities here at CPI, and empower them with winning messaging, a multimedia studio, and much more.

Expert Training and Insight for the U.S. Congress

Over the years, power and influence in Congress have become centralized among congressional leadership—cutting rank-and-file members (and you) out of the process.

In December, three big names at CPI—Senior Policy Director Rachel Bovard, Senior Partner Mark Meadows, and CEO Ed Corrigan—testified at a congressional forum on rules and process changes the GOP Caucus should embrace in 2023.

Throughout 2022, CPI’s team of Capitol Hill veterans worked with conservatives in the House to discuss changes to rules and procedures to finally end the pro-Swamp dynamic in Congress.

Just days after the midterms, the Conservative Partnership Center was the site of a New Member Orientation for newly-elected conservatives, and an important meeting of more than 70 congressional staffers.

In the year ahead, we'll continue to bring the most conservative members old and new together to learn and strategize...beginning with our Conservative Members Conference in Orlando next month.
