I’m looking forward to being sworn in to represent North Carolina's 13th Congressional District with my family by my side. I’m thrilled to be here and to get to work for the people I represent!

Today, I voted for the Honorable Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker (and will again).

Democrats were united in our support for him, which would make him the first Black Speaker of the House. Hoping for a swift conclusion to these proceedings so we can get on to the people’s business!

I can't thank you enough for your support that led me here today, and I'm looking forward to looping you in to all of our hard work in Congress!
