John,
My Mom is the reason that I do this work and she was a stickler for thank you notes when I was a kid. That’s why I’m writing to you today. I want to make sure you know just how grateful I am for you and each grassroots donor that stepped up the past few days.
|
Because of YOU, we were able to surpass our year-end fundraising goal. Because of YOU, we are poised to start the year strong as we continue our movement to save lives from gun violence.
|
As a gun violence survivor, this work is not always easy and it always feels personal. It’s moments like this that remind me how powerful we can be when we come together – it’s truly the only way that we will finally address the gun violence epidemic in America.
It’s why gun violence survivors like Steve Kerr and Fred Guttenberg work with Brady, too. They know activists and supporters like you are committed to changing this country for the better, standing united against the gun lobby and heartless politicians.
|
There is no denying the heartbreak of 2022, a year in which our country experienced some of the worst tragedies in history. But we also saw a country rise up in response, united against deadly gun violence, and push our lawmakers to take some of the most consequential action in decades. Action that we at Brady are dedicated to building upon in this year and beyond, until we are all safe from gun violence.
|
We must all keep fighting to stop the next tragedy and to protect each and every community. Support like yours, in critical moments like this, is how we turn this year into an inflection point.
This fight is more important than ever and I’m grateful to have you by our side. Thank you so much, John.
With Gratitude,
Liz Dunning
