The Wyoming MTSS Center?s 2023 Virtual Summit is an opportunity for educators to build knowledge about MTSS and learn effective practices for implementation. Join us to hear presenters share their real experience and practical application of MTSS.

Dr. Jade Wexler provides the keynote, as she discusses leveraging MTSS to support literacy in secondary schools. The adoption and sustainment of evidence-based literacy practices in secondary Tier 1 content-area and supplemental intensive Tier 2/3 classes is important to improve the reading success among students who struggle with reading, including students with disabilities. In this presentation, attendees will first learn about the importance of implementing a school-wide literacy model at the secondary level. Next, they will learn about practice and school-level factors that can influence teachers? sustained use of evidence-based literacy practices. Finally, they will be provided an overview of a set of evidence-based literacy practices that can be implemented and intensified for use across the Tiers 1-3 setting, and an accompanying coaching model to support implementation.

Our second session will be announced soon. We hope you join us for the afternoon to learn practical tips.
