Friday marks the two-year anniversary of the deadly Capitol insurrection. Despite the lasting impacts of that day, insurrectionist state legislators STILL have not been held accountable for their role in it.

But under the 14th Amendment, they could be BANNED from office:

A ruling from the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals recently held that the 14th Amendment might still be used to disqualify insurrectionists and those who gave them “aid and comfort” from office.
In New Mexico, a state District Court Judge removed a county commissioner from office, citing his role in the Capitol insurrection as a disqualification for public office.
A state Senator in Pennsylvania even introduced a measure to disqualify individuals from running for office if they have “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” against the United States.
