Happy 2023, john!

I wanted to send a quick update to let you all know that just before midnight on Saturday, we hit our donor goal for the FEC quarter. Thanks to this incredible team, you have once again put us in a great position as we kick off the New Year.

We’ll need all the strength we can get. At noon today, the new Congress will be sworn in, and Republicans are taking control of the House of Representatives for the first time in four years.

That means that we’ve got to work harder, be more strategic, and remain unwavering in our commitments to delivering on the issues that are most important to you and your community — like lower costs, better jobs, and protections for our fundamental rights.

But the reality is that with MAGA Republicans like Kevin McCarthy in the House majority, that’s going to be tough. He’s going to do everything he can to distract voters, manufacture outrage, and set Donald Trump up for a presidential win in 2024.

In other words, we should expect a lot of nonsense in the next two years coming from the other side of the Capitol.

But here’s the important thing, john: my promise to you remains unchanged. I will fight for truth, for our democracy, for your freedoms, and for your future.

Your support makes this all possible. And I thank you from the very bottom of my heart.
