Happy New Year, folks.
Because of your support, we hit our grassroots fundraising goal for 2022 — and for that, thank you!
As we begin the new year, I’m thinking about all our incredible accomplishments from last year and how we can build on these wins in the new year.
In 2022, we passed landmark legislation to reduce drug costs and combat climate change. We confirmed the first Black woman to the United States Supreme Court. And we finally passed federal protections for marriage equality (the signing ceremony day will be one of my fondest memories for years to come!).
Not only that — we held (and expanded!) the Senate Democratic Majority, keeping the gavel out of Mitch McConnell’s hands. We also helped re-elect Tony Evers as Governor of Wisconsin, and we prevented a Republican super-majority in the state legislature.
But there’s always more to be done, and I’m ready to get back to work in the Senate to deliver results. It won’t always be easy, especially with Republicans in control of the House, but I’m committed to achieving real progress for millions of Americans.
I’m looking forward to what’s ahead, and I am more optimistic than ever because of the support I have from this team.
