Where are they now? Blackstone Fellow Catherine Glenn Foster |

Dear John,
Catherine Glenn Foster was about to pick up her daughter from kindergarten when she saw the photos.
She opened up an email to reveal gut-wrenching images of an abortion victim—some of the worst she had ever seen.
There was one thing she could not shake. “The little baby in that photo looked so much like my son,” Catherine says. She turned around and saw him safely snuggled up in his car seat behind her.
Years earlier, during law school orientation, Catherine was called by God to advocate for the unborn. At the time, she didn’t know what it would entail, but she committed herself to following the Lord’s leading.
That summer, she attended the Blackstone Legal Fellowship.
Blackstone brings together exceptional Christian law students and prepares them for careers marked by integrity and excellence. The nine-week program opened Catherine’s eyes to the vibrant pro-life legal movement in America and connected her to a network of like-minded believers.
“I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” Catherine says of her Blackstone summer. “Blackstone has a unique ability to bring people together…to create a community…to build fellowship and lifelong relationships,” she says.
Even though Catherine felt called by God to work in the pro-life movement before she attended Blackstone, she says the program was critical to her future.
“Blackstone was integral to finding the path forward,” she reveals.
That path led Catherine to join ADF after completing law school, defending human dignity in the areas of abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide.
After seven years at ADF, Catherine became President and CEO of Americans United for Life (AUL). Today, she and her team at AUL are protecting human life in legislatures, courts, and the court of public opinion.
As Catherine’s story shows, Blackstone is truly a life-changing experience for these law students. But this work isn’t possible without the generous support of people like you, John. |

When you support Blackstone, you support the next generation of Christian leaders
In its 20 years of existence, Blackstone has trained nearly 2,300 law students. These are some of the brightest minds in the next generation of legal professionals.
This year, we’re hoping to fund the largest Blackstone class yet with over 160 students.
Through God’s blessing (John 15:5) and your support, we can continue to equip Christian law students like Catherine to defend religious freedom, life, and marriage and family.
Will you help?
Generous ADF Ministry Friends who believe we must continue to train the next generation of leaders have donated $200,000 to match your gift to support the Blackstone Legal Fellowship dollar for dollar. That means your gift today will be doubled—a $10 gift will become $20, a $100 gift will become $200, and a $1,000 gift will become $2,000.
But the match won’t last forever.
Please take advantage of this rare opportunity to double your gift right now. Because of the blessing of the match, your gift will have twice the impact to support the next generation of Christian leaders.
Thank you for giving generously. |
