John, we’re still calculating the final total, but I had to let you know that thanks to supporters like you, Save the Children raised over $3.3 million in 2022, achieving our fundraising goals for children in need in the final days of the year! Because of your incredible kindness, we are well-positioned to continue helping kids build brighter futures, no matter what hardships they face in the year ahead.
I can’t thank you enough for stepping up for children last year and helping us start 2023 off strong. Your support is truly making a life-changing difference for children around the world.
When war put the lives and futures of every child in Ukraine at risk, you stepped up. Together, we raised more than $155 million to help families meet their most basic needs and set up child-friendly spaces where children have a chance to be kids, even in the midst of ongoing conflict.
As conflict, climate change and COVID-19 worsened the global hunger crisis, impacting children across the Horn of Africa, Afghanistan, Syria and Yemen — and even right here in the United States — you stepped up. Together, we’re providing lifesaving food, cash assistance and medical care.
And when devastating floods struck Kentucky and Hurricane Ian swept across the southeastern U.S., you stepped up to power our emergency response efforts. Together, we delivered essential supplies like food, water, diapers and hygiene kits to families who lost everything.
All this and more is made possible by your generosity, John. We’re so grateful for your partnership as we work toward a world where every child has the tools they need to grow up healthy, educated and safe. We’re moving closer to that vision each day because of you.
Warmly,
Janti Soeripto
