Happy New Year, and happy awards season! As we saw in this morning’s Oscar nominations, there is still a lot of work to be done in the area of diversity and inclusion. MPAC’s Hollywood Bureau will continue engaging with the industry, despite the challenges, toward more authentic presentations in entertainment media.

This Spring we will celebrate our 29th Annual Media Awards, where we honor artists, actors, activists and executives who use art and media to create authentic, nuanced portrayals of Islam and Muslims, promote diversity and social justice, and inspire action.

We would love to know which movies, TV shows, digital series, books, music, ad campaigns, or other creative work inspired you this year and deserve to be honored!
