As we head into 2023, it is a time for optimism and growth. We are energized by the unfaltering commitment to our mission from our supporters and volunteers and extend our deepest gratitude and thanks.
Because of YOU, we continue to make an impact on the lives of autistic people across the life span. During the past year, your generosity has made it possible for Autism Speaks to:
- aid more than 1.6 million people through funded services, resources and direct support
- enable more than 482,000 families to access an autism screening tool and take action
- provide direct one-on-one assistance to more than 87,000 people with guidance to critical tools, resources and support
- host 18 Pathways to Employment events, engaging over 5,200 autistic job seekers, employers and service providers
Helping people like Natalie, a single mom and her 3-year old, newly diagnosed daughter, who live in an underserved area with little funds and no support. When she received her daughter’s autism diagnosis Natalie did not know where to turn and called our Autism Response Team for help. We provided her with resources and a 100-Day Tool Kit of key first action steps, connected her with a parent support group and guided her through a pre-K development program. A call that started in tears of despair turned into tears of gratitude. This support is only possible because of YOU.
Our focus is on programs and initiatives that have a far-reaching and lasting impact on the lives of the autism community at large.
