Hello John — I wanted to be the first one to welcome you to our team! I’m honored to have your support in our fight for a safer, more prosperous, equitable Philadelphia.

Before I ever held elected office, I knew the power of everyday people to transform our politics and our city.

I’m a mom who wouldn’t let children be cheated out of their education. I’m a teacher who believes in the transformative power of our schools. I’m an organizer who wasn’t afraid to take on powerful interests who would deny us affordable homes, safe communities, or a healthy and stable family.

Philadelphia needs a new kind of leader who can guide us through crisis and with a vision for lifting up the people of this city. Someone who has fought fearlessly and isn’t afraid to do what is hard.

With your help, it’s time to elect a real fighter to protect the city we call home. That’s why I’m running for Mayor of Philadelphia.

We need a leader who will take real action on community safety — one who will make sure the police show up when called, take guns off our streets, who will center victims and survivors with a focus on healing from trauma, and who will tackle the root causes of violence by reinvesting in employment, safe havens, and opportunity.

We also need a leader who understands that our schools are our future, and that it’s time for a Mayor to deliver the safe, quality education worthy of the dreams of every child and parent. We need a leader who will deliver a real anti-poverty agenda and a promise for economic opportunity and livability for all Philadelphians. We need a leader who will rebuild the infrastructure of our city with good union jobs and tackle the climate crisis.

I’ve worked tirelessly on this agenda before I ever held office. I had led massive grassroots movements to rebuild our neighborhoods, to invest in our schools, and to lead a city forward.
