John,
Thank you so much for your strength, perseverance, and hope over the last year.
As we look ahead to 2023, I’m proud to share my office’s 2022 report, which details my work for San Antonio over the past twelve months.
Here's a quick look at some of the things I'm most proud of:
- Getting $15.6 million in federal funding for San Antonio community projects for Fiscal Year 2023, including local initiatives to preserve affordable housing, prevent domestic violence, support small businesses, expand access to affordable health care, and more.
- Getting $10.5 million in federal funding for San Antonio community projects for Fiscal Year 2022, including local initiatives to expand workforce development programs at Project QUEST, expand the local reach of Communities in Schools, improve Wi-Fi access in public housing, train mental health providers to meet community needs, and more.
- Recovering more than $3.2 million in federal benefits for the people of San Antonio, including more than $320,000 from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Securing more than $163 million in federal grants for programs and services in San Antonio.
