I'm just days away from officially taking the oath of office and stepping into my new role as your next Congresswoman.

I could not be more excited, or more humbled, John.

Serving in Congress will provide me with a monumental opportunity to improve the lives of working Oregonians. I'll fight to uphold our democracy, preserve our fundamental rights and freedoms, combat the climate crisis, and to create economic opportunity for ALL of our families and communities in every corner of this district.

It will be deeply humbling to follow in the footsteps of the many great leaders who served before, including my dear friend Peter DeFazio. I'll work every day to build on his example and provide principled, independent leadership.

And, I'll fight against the MAGA movement at every turn.

But before all that happens John, I have one more deadline tonight at midnight.
