There are only a few hours left in 2022, but we’re already fully focused on winning the most important special elections happening at the very beginning of 2023, John.

We don’t have much time left, so before I go into more detail, will you rush $25 before tonight’s End-of-Year deadline to defend democracy in 2023’s most critical elections?

In Pennsylvania, the state House of Representatives is split right down the middle with 101 Democrats and 101 Republicans currently in office.

But a special election happening as soon as late January will decide the all-important 203rd seat and determine balance of power in the Pennsylvania state legislature.

In Wisconsin, a recent retirement by a Republican in the state Senate has left the GOP exactly one vote short of a two-thirds supermajority.

If Democrats can flip this Wisconsin state Senate seat in the upcoming special election, then Democratic Governor Tony Evers won’t have to worry about Republicans ramming through far-right, anti-democratic policies by overriding his veto power.

And, in just 10 days’ time, Virginia Democrats will try to hold on to their razor-thin three-seat majority in the state Senate when Democrat Aaron Rouse runs in Virginia’s 7th District.

With far-right Gov. Glenn Youngkin leading Virginia, it’s critical Democrats hold on to the state Senate to protect reproductive rights and defend the right to vote.

These are just some of the early 2023 elections that will determine the future of American democracy, John—and it’s why we need your help before tonight’s midnight deadline.
