And yet, a small glimpse into some of the achievements we've made together reminds me of the power of the PIH community.
Together in 2022, we confronted infectious diseases like cholera, COVID-19, and TB—stopping the spread and saving lives. We deepened our commitment to maternal and child health by continuing construction of the game-changing Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone, and opening a new NICU in Rwanda.
We formally launched a scholarship fund in Paul's honor to cover tuition for 3,000 medical students at PIH’s University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda free of charge, used artificial intelligence to catch TB earlier than ever before—all while serving as a trusted backbone of health systems around the world.
These are a selection of advances that have been most inspiring to me. The truth is, everywhere PIHers are working to provide health care as a human right, progress is being made—month-by-month, minute-by-minute.
When I step back and see the full expanse of our efforts, I can’t help but be filled with hope for our shared future.
I invite you to contribute to this hope, and to end 2022 with an act of care. Please donate $215 now to be triple-matched >>
With partners like you, we have the strength to keep going, and our shared work has never been more necessary.
Thank you for your partnership, and for your commitment to the belief that every person deserves quality health care as their human right.
With gratitude,
