Dear Friend,
Before we conclude this year and
begin to focus on 2023, it is good for us to take a moment to rejoice
in the good news that Cardinal Burke regained his health and is
ministering to the faithful worldwide – always proclaiming the
Truth!
We are more determined than ever
to raise the bar across all of our programs. I say raise the
bar because throughout my life I have found that one of the greatest
temptations is to let up just a little over time. Whether our faith, studies, work, fitness or not taking ample
time to nurture the important relationships in our life, we all have
to be careful of this subtle temptation to gradually let up lest we
find ourselves drifting. The problem with drifting is that we cannot
drift to the top of the mountain that can serve as a
promontory or strategic high point from which to better wage battle
between the good and evil in our midst. We have to climb
upward!
“As a result, whether individual or
collective, shows itself to be a dramatic struggle between good and
evil, between light and darkness” (Gaudium et Spes, 13). Certainly,
one lesson we should take away from these words by His Holiness Pope
Paul VI is that there is NO SUBSTITUTE for the spiritual strength of
the Catholic Church when she comes together as one body in Christ to
save souls! And, as St. Paul said to Timothy, the Church must be about
the salvation of souls “in
season and out of season” (2 Tim 4:2).
Therefore, a second take away from
this year is that we can never let up; in fact, as an apostolic
organization, we must escalate our work
and go on the offensive for the glory of God.
But to make this happen, we NEED
YOUR HELP!
Looking ahead to 2023, I want to
assure you, above all, of my continued prayers as well as those from
the hundreds of thousands of Rosary Warriors around the world. We are
a team of spiritual souls united in a common mission, and prayer binds
us together.
As a supporter of Catholic Action
for Faith and Family, you know we place faith and family at the center
of our mission. Supporters like you make it possible for us to adapt
and continue our work defending the two sacred institutions given to
us by divine authority: the Catholic
Church handed down to us from
the Apostles and the family as the fundamental unit of society. We
operate with the belief that the Church (and her many dynamic lay
apostolates like ours) serves as a guide for society as a whole and we
must remain steadfast in our mission to never let up. Her strength and
spiritual resources have a deep conditioning effect for the good on
the course of history.
Catholic Action for Faith and
Family has a critical responsibility in this regard because we are
especially charged with the mission of mobilizing the active
participation of the laity in the apostolate of the Church under the
guidance of the hierarchy. Simply stated: our mission is to
re-Christianize a society drained of faith.
And we depend on YOU to help us
start the New Year off right!
Please, make your tax-deductible donation
before midnight to help us reach our goal and to help uphold, defend
and support the Catholic Faith and the Catholic Family!
I am certain that God and His most holy Mother will bless
and reward you and your family a hundredfold for your
efforts!
We call especially upon the
intercession of Mary, Mother of God (whose solemnity we
celebrate on January 1) to bless and protect you, your
loved ones, and your homes. Thank you for all your incredible support
this past year, and we wish you a safe, healthy, and happy New
Year!
Gratefully yours in
Christ,
Thomas J. McKenna Founder and President Catholic Action for
Faith and Family
P.S. If you have already made
your end of year gift, thank you! Your

faith and for our Church that we love.
P.P.S. – I hope you might be
one of those willing to help us reach tens of millions of Catholics
and more across America during the pivotal year of
2023 with a gift of $35, $50, $100, $145, or
even more.
