We’ve been dreaming about a representative who would stand up to the party elite and put the people first. That’s just what AOC has done! 

Every year, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee charges “dues” from every Congressperson holding office. This year, they called on AOC to turn over $250,000 from her people-funded campaign. These dues are often funneled to hand-picked corporate candidates or to protect incumbents’ seats from progressive challengers. 

The party elite’s aim isn’t to protect voters or the democratic process of primaries. Their focus is on protecting establishment incumbents from progressive challengers. 

Why? Because progressive Representatives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez aren’t beholden to the wealthy and powerful corporate donors and lobbyists that our political establishment relies on to pad their pockets and maintain their power. Our candidates are funded by the people, and that’s who they are fighting for, even if it means bucking the establishment. 

Our candidates are up against a political machine that has dug in their heels for 2020 and clearly see progressives as a threat.

We can’t rely on the political establishment; we are relying on the people. Can you contribute just $10 today?

As AOC says, "I don't see the sense in giving a quarter-million dollars to an organization that has clearly told people like me that we're not welcome."
