SEEC PAC has had a whirlwind year. Here are just a few of our accomplishments:

  • Passed the Inflation Reduction Act, the single-largest climate investment in U.S. history
  • Passed the CHIPS and Science Act, which directs unprecedented levels of clean energy and climate research 
  • Restored endangered species protections for the gray wolf to stop the hunting massacre out West.
  • Pressured the USPS to invest in an electric vehicle fleet in order to meet President Biden’s goals of making ALL federal vehicles electric.
  • Created the Climate and Agriculture, Climate and National Security, Nature and Oceans, and Power Sector Task Forces to plan the future of climate action by taking an all-systems approach to the global climate crisis.

We are proud of what we accomplished in 2022, and we know that there’s still so much more to do. But being in a slim minority means we have to work twice as hard to continue making transformative changes. And more than a few of our SEEC members just barely held on in their re-election races.
