John,
As we move into another term of Congress, where the GOP will control the House of Representatives, Democrats have got to be aligned and in agreement about not ceding ground. That includes always standing with workers, who have been silenced, exploited, and undervalued for far too long.
Recently I led a successful amendment in the House of Representatives to provide 7 days of paid sick leave to rail workers, and I’m working alongside restaurant workers to end the shameful federal tipped minimum wage of $2.13 an hour.
Together, we’re building progressive power in Congress, and pushing to ensure the Democratic Party lives up to its promises as the party of the working class.
If you support my unwavering leadership and commitment to workers’ rights, please chip in $5 or more today—before the end of 2022.

John,
Millions of workers are rising up for fair wages, healthcare, and dignity. As 2022 comes to a close, I’m unapologetically recommitting to acting in solidarity with workers against the oppression of corporate greed.
Last year, the rail industry made a record $20 billion in profit―and yet, rail workers get zero sick days, paid or unpaid.
Recently, Congress voted to force rail workers to accept a bad deal, blocking a strike. I led a successful amendment in the House, which would have provided 7 days of paid sick leave to rail workers, but it didn’t pass in the Senate. Undeterred, I led a letter to President Biden signed by 70 members of Congress, urging him to take immediate executive action to provide at least 7 days of paid sick leave to rail workers.
If the Democratic Party is going to live up to its promises as the party of the working class, we need to stand with workers every time.
Will you chip in what you can today so we can keep building progressive power in Congress and fighting for the working class?
We need urgent change, as our neighbors are struggling to put food on the table, fighting to keep a roof over their heads, and rationing their medication.
I am committing to building progressive power in Congress, including keeping everyday people at the center of our policymaking and pushing for the truly transformative change that our communities urgently need.
We must recognize the basic human dignity of every worker in America, and that includes providing sick days and raising the minimum wage—including abolishing the shameful tipped minimum wage of $2.13 an hour for restaurant workers.
Last week I introduced the Restaurant Workers Bill of Rights to end the tipped minimum wage and defend restaurant workers, who are disproportionately impacted―many who are single parents, women, people of color, and immigrants.
I’ve also recently rallied with advocates calling on Senator Schumer to bring the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act to the floor. The legislation makes it unlawful for employers to discriminate against or refuse to make reasonable accommodations for pregnant workers.
No one should be forced to choose between their job and their health or a healthy pregnancy. Especially not in the wealthiest country in the world.
As this year and this term of Congress wraps up, I promise to keep fighting for every worker in this country to secure the rights, compensation, and recognition they rightfully deserve.
Can you chip in $5 or more today to our fight for workers’ rights?
