2023 is just around the corner – and we’re ready for it.

2022 was a challenging year in many ways. It will go down in history as the year Roe v. Wade was overturned – stripping 36 million people in America of their right to a safe and legal abortion. This was followed by 17 states moving to completely ban or restrict abortion.

We also saw a significant number of our candidates lose their primaries to white men – a stat that went on to play a meaningful role in the fact that the number of women elected to our federal government did not budge in 2022.

In the year Roe was overturned, Americans continued to let female candidates for federal government fall through the cracks.

We spent 2022 working tirelessly to ensure progressive and pro-choice women were elected, and, in many cases (especially at the state and local level), that hard work paid off. We’re excited to keep up our momentum in 2023 – and shatter many more glass ceilings across the country.

Here’s our New Year’s resolution: In 2023, we will fight to shatter glass ceilings; to change the composition of our government so dangerous and oppressive legislation about OUR BODIES will never again be written in the first place.
