Our work this year could not have happened without the contributions of our supporters. We’ve run campaigns to stop the use of oppressive technologies like e-carceration, secure fair and equitable internet access for all, push tech giants like Amazon to cut off their contracts with ICE and local police, protect protestors from retribution, and so much more.
This work continues, especially as corporations and governments deploy more and more advanced technologies that threaten our data, our privacy, our safety, and our freedom. More and more we see the ways that new technologies discriminate against and threaten different communities, whether it’s racial discrimination in facial recognition software or the way our data is used by corporations, the e-carceration of electronic monitoring, the dangers of high-tech policing, and the restrictive availability and cost of high-speed internet.
