Our Rapid Response Fund is built to prepare Immigration Equality for whatever life throws our way. This year, beyond the scope of our day-to-day work, we stepped up:

When we saw the opportunity to secure asylum for LGBTQ Afghans fleeing persecution

When we wrote a formal complaint against asylum offices in Houston and Texas who were treating clients unjustly

When the United States government continued to use Title 42 to illegally expel asylum seekers from the country.

And we stepped up big for the 800 clients who counted on us to help them win asylum. Clients like Gustavo (photo below). We must be prepared for moments like this that really matter. But we can’t do it without your help.
