nation and our democracy. An emboldened wave of right-wing extremism
is threatening to roll back decades of progress. The consequences of
the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol continue to reverberate
across the country. And amid the uneven recovery from the COVID-19
pandemic, people and communities are struggling.

Despite all this, we are hopeful. We have more than 50 years of
experience fighting for racial justice and social progress, and we are
encouraged by the sheer number of like-minded people who have chosen
