FIRST: My team reached out earlier this month asking you to join me in calling on Congress to pass my bill, the People Over Pentagon Act of 2022, so we can finally rein in the defense budget and reduce wasteful spending.

THEN: 83 Senators voted to pass a record-breaking $858 billion defense budget, furthering the cycle of endless wars and failing to hold the Pentagon and their unlimited budget accountable.

NOW: I am disappointed that our government continues prioritizing excessive military spending over making progress on the issues that matter most to American families. But I will continue to hold the line to ensure this legislation is passed and sent to President Biden’s desk.
