Just last week, we helped pass the FDA Modernization Act 2.0, which ends the requirement for animal testing in new drug development. Now, researchers will no longer have to needlessly subject innocent dogs, primates, and other animals to painful and lethal tests that rarely yield positive results.
Also this month, Congress finally passed the Shark Fin Sales Elimination Act, which prohibits the trade of shark fin products and ends the cruel practice of capturing sharks and hacking off their fins, as well as the Big Cat Public Safety Act, which bans the breeding of lions and tigers for exploitative roadside zoos.
We’re proud of our involvement in passing these groundbreaking laws, and we hope we can continue making progress toward a world where animal cruelty is never tolerated. But we simply can’t get there without your help.
