Why you should continue to invest in Summer Lee:
John,
In order to keep our movement for working people growing, we must continue to invest in the leaders who fight for our values, even long after they are elected — leaders like my friend, Summer Lee.
In 2023 we will have the most progressives in Congress ever. This is a huge, historic accomplishment, and I am very much looking forward to what the freshman class, and Summer, will bring to the table.
I am asking you, John, one more time before we end the year, will you give what you can to help set up Summer for success in the 118th Congress?

I endorsed Summer and her campaign for Congress because she fights for the people, not the billionaires and large corporations. We have a shared vision of Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, strong unions, good wages, and dignity, respect, and safe conditions for every worker in the country.
In Congress, we'll work together to deliver real progress towards racial, social, economic, and environmental justice — and do it all while refusing to accept a dime in corporate PAC money.
I remember what it was like to be a freshman legislator in Washington, and I know the resources Summer gathers right now will be of the utmost importance as she fights back against attacks from super PACs and special interests who are threatened by her drive for change.
That's why I'm asking, once again:
Can you please chip in $5 or anything you can to make sure that Summer has what she needs to start this important work on January 3? I would not ask if it were not so important to our movement's success.
I couldn’t be more proud of Summer, and am looking forward to her joining me in Washington. I know that so long as we all continue to stand together, she will accomplish great things in these next two years and beyond.
Thank you for all you've done — and will do — to carry our progressive movement forward.
In solidarity,
Bernie
