John, we want to thank you so much for supporting Sunrise this past year.

Without the support of people like you, we wouldn't have been able to help pass the largest climate bill in U.S. history this year, help get out the vote and save democracy, send hundreds of Sunrisers to our national movement gathering, or launch our plan to build a multi-racial, cross-class movement to stop the climate crisis.

It’s been a big year for Sunrise. But with eight years left to stop the worst of the climate crisis, two years remaining of President Biden's term, and the threat of right-wing authoritarianism on the rise, it's clear Sunrise must take its organizing up a notch.

It's time for us to get serious about building long-term power and organizing a movement across race and class that can take over every level of government and transform society. That’s why in 2023, we’re going to double our efforts to push Biden to use the full scale of his executive power to stop the climate crisis.

We will recruit thousands of young organizers and tens of thousands of supporters across race and class to harness people power and train the next generation of Green New Deal leaders.

The climate crisis was at the very bottom of the political agenda when we launched in 2017. We made it into an urgent, national priority — and won hundreds of billions of dollars for good clean jobs. Where do we go from here? Everywhere. We’ve won big changes before, and we won’t stop now. Mark my words, our generation is taking over.

And as this year comes to a close, remember that rest is revolutionary. I hope that you can take the time to rest and recharge.
