As 2022 comes to a close, I’m incredibly proud of everything we’ve accomplished together during my time as Chair of NewDem Action Fund.

Back in October, I sent this team a message saying that if Democrats performed well in the midterms, it would be because of the electoral success of moderate NewDems – and we were right.

This cycle, NewDems overwhelmingly defeated their extremist opponents, overperformed in competitive districts, and stopped the GOP’s much-anticipated red wave. As a result, NewDems flipped five seats, protected 22 NewDem Frontliners, and will have 17 new Members sworn into Congress next week!

Our strategy of selecting strong, moderate Democrats to run against extremist candidates in critical districts WORKED. Voters had a choice between moderate Democrats and MAGA Republicans – and they chose common sense over chaos in nearly every single race.

Democrats expanded our majority in the Senate, curbed Republican control of the House to just a handful of seats, and soundly rejected assaults on reproductive freedom at the state level. Organizing efforts and donations made in 2022 by this grassroots team made all of these successes possible. On behalf of NewDem Action Fund, we are sincerely grateful for all of your support this cycle. Thank you!
