Dear John, What a year it’s been! With 2022 coming to a close, my team and I like to take the opportunity to look in the rearview mirror and reflect on the highs and lows of this trip around the sun. At the start of 2022, we had just learned that Georgia Republicans had gerrymandered our districts to try to push me out of Congress. We were forced to pivot toward running in Georgia’s 7th district, and we geared up for a tight primary race in May. With the odds stacked against us, our people-centered campaign came out on top. But of course, the fight wasn’t over. We had our pedal to the metal as we approached the November 8th general election. It wasn’t just my own re-election campaign that was a priority – we were fighting for all Georgia Democrats to win their races and flip the state blue. I’m proud to have been re-elected to my third term in Congress and that this online community helped to raise over $50k in grassroots donations for Rev. Raphael Warnock to bring him back to the Senate. We’ve got our sights on some big targets in 2023. I’m committed to passing meaningful legislation on gun reform, reproductive rights, and lowering the cost of prescription drugs. However, we’re up against some powerful lobbies that are going to fight against the progress that we so desperately need on these issues. Your donation will give my campaign team the tools we need to push our agenda forward. We got to this place through the power of grassroots contributions, and that’s how we’re going to continue to lead in Congress.
