Since 1971, the SPLC has been one of the country's leading civil
rights groups, working in partnership with communities to strive for
justice and equality. We pioneered the use of lawsuits to take down
some of America's worst hate groups, including the Klan group
responsible for the Birmingham church bombing that killed four
children. And all of our work is funded by people like you - we
receive no legal fees from the clients we represent.

Today, our work has broadened to push for progress across multiple
fronts, everything from criminal justice reform to voting rights to
immigrant justice. And due to the ongoing resurgence in
anti-government extremism and white nationalism, our work has never
been more urgent. We will not back down; we will defend our nation and
