2022 was a monumental year for the Brooklyn Young Democrats. BYD worked tirelessly to fight back against both an onslaught of Republican misinformation and a county party that refused to do anything about it.

In June, with our partners in the Brooklyn Can't Wait coalition, we elected a slate of reform-minded District Leaders ready to build a better, more effective Democratic Party, even as the county party used corruption and fraud to fight us every step of the way.

|
Then, this fall, we hit the streets week after week to knock doors and get the vote out for Democratic candidates in Southern Brooklyn, holding the line against a Republican red wave of conspiracies theories and fear-mongering. While we did the leg work, the county party twiddled their thumbs.

|
Along the way, we raised our voices in support of abortion access; made our way to Pennsylvania to ensure Democrats held control of the US Senate; and knocked doors for proudly progressive candidates across the borough.

|
2023 will bring even more crucial work in the fight for a better Brooklyn. BYD plans to be on the front lines, supporting progressive candidates, battling Republicans, and raising our collective voice on the issues impacting young people.
But we can't do it without your support.
