"Sen. Cory Booker exits 2020 race, making the Democratic field less diverse" -- The Washington Post, 01/13/2020

Hey,

I'm sure many of you have seen the news: Senator Cory Booker just announced he is withdrawing from the 2020 Presidential race.

This is disappointing, to say the least. Now that Cory has withdrawn, not a single top-five contending candidate is Black. As the Democratic party, we can do better than this.

I admire Cory's positivity, his passion, and his belief in our country. He's right: no matter who wins the presidency in 2020, we cannot give up the fight to build a future that works for all of us – not just the wealthy, the powerful, and the connected.

Our mission has not changed, team. We are continuing our work to elect the next generation of Black civic leaders. If you are ready to follow Cory's lead and move forward, please contribute to our work today.

As Cory said: "Together we will rise."

Thank you,
