Aloha Team,
Because of your support, 2022 was a huge year for Team Green and for Hawaii.
Whether it was by sign waving, knocking on doors, donating, or just making sure friends and family voted, you proved that a grassroots, people-powered movement can accomplish big things in our state.
Because of you, this month I was sworn in as the ninth governor of Hawaii — and we’re already putting our values of ohana and aloha into action.
So thank you — your support made all the difference this year and made our victory possible.
Looking forward to 2023 and beyond, I wanted to share some of my New Year’s resolutions as governor:
- Bring trusted, effective leadership to Hawaii
- Take on our housing crisis and make homes more affordable for Hawaii residents
- Reduce homelessness in our state by at least 50% over the next four years
- Strengthen our education system and develop a universal Pre-K program
- Meet our renewable energy goals and make Hawaii a leader on climate change
